Less than and equal to...
The children made their own less than and equal to statements using straws and cubes. They challenged their friends by giving them a number sentence and their friend had to make it! A wonderful, practical lesson!
Maths all around us
The Year 1 children have been exploring numbers in creative ways — using natural objects to represent and build their understanding of number. They had to recognise the numerical representation shown on their card and create their own using natural objects. A wonderful blend of maths and nature!
Our Classroom
Have a look around our wonderful classroom. The Year One team have designed a cosy, welcoming space for the children to enjoy. We are also very lucky to have wonderful provision areas which we share with our Reception class.
